Boosting E-commerce sales through Facebook

The most promising social network so far is still Facebook according to the perceptions and views of the retailers and purchasers among other social networks such as Twitter, SnapChat etc.



For the E-commerce retailers, Facebook seems to be a blessing as it is the best platform which supports the largest E-commerce business. This study was done by cloud based e-commerce sources. Amazingly, when the E-commerce and sales generated from other social networks is all together added together, they still cannot beat the E-commerce and sales generated via Facebook, making facebook the best E-commerce generating source.

Only few% said that Instagram generate the most sales while 19% reported that Twitter was responsible in generating the most sales.


Other networks

Other business entrepreneurs claimed that not only Facebook but to generate the most sales, they use a variety of other social networks. Almost, 70% business entrepreneurs said that in addition to Facebook they are also active of Twitter.


Brand awareness

Boosting the sales is not the only aim of E-commerce merchants. For huge brands, via the social usage of e-commerce brand awareness is acclaimed. The more they are recognized nationally and internationally, the more they can transform their foundation into a global one.



E-commerce merchants also reported that they are making use of social networks as via these channels cheap advertising can be made. Via less money, more consumers and customers can be targeted. The advertising could be done for many purposes i.e. for promoting deals and promotions or for brand recognition. In both the cases, e-commerce merchants and e-commerce retailers are privileged. This became vigilant when 40% business entrepreneurs agreed that social networks specifically Facebook act as a maneuver for targeting a greater part of the population.


Free shipping

Free shipping is a stronger arm of E-commerce business. The easier the tool of free shipping is the more the boost to revenue is received. This is because almost all the entrepreneurs have negotiated that the products purchased by the customers must be sent to them in a matter of no time.
