Helping or Harming your SEO campaign

“The biggest difference to SEO these days is now it’s more valuable to remove links rather than build them.” (Scott Mclay)

SEO is constantly changing just like the weather, it fluctuates and the overall influx is not comparable. Likewise the influx of SEO for a particular time might not vary but for any other time it will. That is the reason why the things that you used to do initially will now get you penalized, just like too much stuffing with a singular keyword is an indication of attaining a penalty from Google whereas formerly you used to stuff a singular keyword many times throughout a piece of blog.

In the world of SEO, one might call out hey dude I know everything, he may know everything but with time he will not if he is not up to date. Consequently, he would be wondering that he is playing smart but for the reality he would be playing dumb.

Myth

The most stupid thing I have ever come across is the creation of too many websites for a single company, each website illustrating the features and knowledge about any one product or service offered by the company.

When somebody interrogated that guy the reason behind the creation and maintenance of too many websites, he explained with the reference of facts that from these many websites search engines will rank some of the websites higher than their competitors that will augment the conversion rate.

The creation of too many website is such a big myth and those who abide by this technique for search engines to identify their presence are merely at risks since there are many drawbacks in the development of too many websites for a unit website. Firstly, creating too many websites is pretty costly. Secondly, the linchpin behind the development of each website is to awaken the sleeping conversion rate and to allow the consumers to enjoy the perks with the online benefits i.e. online presence, online information, online shopping, online solutions etc. Creating too many websites misdirect the linchpin of the management team towards the SEO management. Lastly, these websites have duplicate content, each of the website separately might get penalized due to imitation of content.

Create one website instead, no matter how many services you are offering or how many products are being produced by your company, sum up into one website. This will save both your time and money since you will only have to manage one website and hence the chances of mismanagement will also mitigate.

Ezine

In the past, most of the companies used to post a blog or two at Ezine or similar kind of website. People have this misconception that posting articles and related stuff on Ezine or related websites will help them in gaining higher rank as it is a source of higher credibility ad exposure. But now, things have changed and the addition of Ezine links makes your website kind of illegible. The better option instead of linking to Ezine or related websites is guest posting to high value and homogenous websites.
